It is always a pleasure to work with clients who are also artists. Peachy is no exception. She is a passionate crafter who loves to crochet, sculpt with polymer clay, and cook; she also offers workshops on a myriad of crafty topics. Her site is a celebration of creativity, where she writes all about her passions and everything she believes will help others live an inspired life.
She approached me last year to redesign her site and give it a fresh, clean look. She wanted a minimalist layout with very little in terms of elements, so that her content will be center stage. Here is the color inspiration board for her blog makeover:
Isn’t it lovely? Those pretty shades of peach, gold, and pale creamsicle are so swoon-worthy!
Here is the brand board I came up with for the blog design.
Her theme is built on the Genesis framework, like all my other themes. It features a wide, responsive layout, clean lines, and a few quirky elements. The homepage has a slider of featured posts followed by post excerpts with custom read more buttons. I designed metallic gold social media icons to give it a bit of dazzle. The watercolor heart on her header logo is echoed in her favicon.
Here is a screenshot of the homepage. Click on it to check out her site!
