I am beyond excited to share this logo and website design project with you! Remember when I announced that Ginny Krauss of The Wedding Concierge and I were launching The Ultimate Wedding Branding Experience? Well, Noleen Sliney, a professional makeup artist based in Germany is our first client!
Noleen had just recently had her site designed by another web designer, but she wasn’t happy with it. “Underwhelmned” was the term she used. She desperately needed a rebranding and Ginny and I were perfectly happy to give that to her. Ginny brainstormed with Noleen and came up with this brilliant suggestion of using her often-carried handbag as the inspiration for her brand direction. Bam! It was perfect! This is the color inspiration board that I came up with for Noleen, with the handbag the main source of the color palette.

Here is her new logo design, that reflects her fabulous and charming personality. I was so happy to get it right in one draft. That rarely happens, so I celebrate in excessive amounts when it does!
Noleen wanted her website to be attractive but approachable, particularly to her private clients. She emphasized that she wanted it easy to navigate, and would showcase her portfolio effectively. I used a lot of her portfolio images all over the homepage (she does really great work!), overlayed with text and some metallic gold effects.
The website is, of course, mobile responsive and built on the powerful Genesis Framework. It has a built-in blog (which Noleen doesn’t really update often, but it’s there if she wants it), a custom portfolio archive page, mosaic style portfolio pages, and styled static pages.
Do check out her site and leave some love!
