All About The New Look

 

Hello lovelies! Did you notice the makeover? I’ve wanted to do a total redesign of my site since last year, but I just couldn’t find the time! I finally sat down late one night and worked on it nonstop for 5 straight hours until I finished it. That was the fastest I ever worked on a site design! And good thing I did it in one go, because you have to know that it’s super frightening to design for oneself.  I am a nightmare client — nothing ever pleases me! Giving myself a tight deadline (i.e. before I drop dead of exhaustion) worked really well this time.

What was my inspiration? My love for everything Kate Spade, of course!

 

I bought this book sometime last year and have been pouring over it nearly every day.  It’s got everything a fancy girl loves. Every single page is eye candy!

I was so happy when they opened a small store in Takashimaya selling their home and desk accessories. I can finally get my Kate Spade fix and prettify my desk. I bought bow-shaped paper clips, notebooks, a planner, and some gold striped file folders.  Sometimes I even use them! hahaha!

 

 

 

Now I had the inspiration, and it was time to get to work.  In keeping with the Kate Spade aesthetic, I went with a super simple look crisp lines, black and white, with touches of pink.

The biggest change of course, was on my logo.  This is a complete rebranding, and a huge departure from the previous design. I think it fits my brand better, and communicates the design aesthetic that I truly love.  What do you think?  I hope you like it!
