I was thrilled to be asked by Samantha of @straitlights to write a sentence on what I love about being a creative. Naturally one sentence wasn't enough. lol.

I have been passionate about making things beautiful for as long as I can remember (from designing dresses for paper dolls at 3 years old, embroidering covers for my journals at 13, designing our wedding invitations decades on, and on to decorating our home - sometimes every few months)! Creativity is a huge part of who I am. I'm grateful to be able to have a successful career out of it, because I can't imagine doing anything else. I love the combination of heart and mind that goes into every creative project, and most of all, the transformation that I can help achieve for my clients.

Just as you refresh, clean, and organize your home

Just as you refresh, clean, and organize your home regularly, so should you do the same to your website.

Some of the same principles apply: check for things that are not working properly and get them fixed; discard what doesn't spark joy; tidy up the junk drawer; clear the clutter; update the look.

But remember to not just clean up. Post fresh content on your blog, update your portfolio. Your website is not a thing that you build once and then forget about it for months. Your business is ever changing, and your website should reflect that.
