Listen, clients are not your enemy. As a freelancer, or business owner, your clients are your lifeblood. Treat them the way you would want to be treated - with respect, kindness, and trust. You are not doing them a favor - they are paying you to do a service for them. (If you did not charge enough, that is not the fault of the client.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Love your clients, be friends with them, and endeavor to make them happy by delivering what you promised, and maybe more. If you don't love working with clients, then you need to find a different career. 😉

Communication is key - and mind how you talk to them. You may be the expert in your field but that's no reason to talk down to them, or resent it if they disagree with you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once in a while you will encounter "bad" clients - they may be rude, difficult to please, or indecisive - how ever you define "bad". Figure out what went wrong and refine your process so it doesn't happen again. Sometimes it means screening your clients from the start so you only work with nice people. 😝 no really, you can do that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I was new at my business I also made so many mistakes. Thankfully, I learned from them! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's refreshing to work with clients who know exactly what they want, and can clearly explain it too. Not all clients are able to, sometimes because they lack clarity, sometimes because they don't know how to express themselves. This is why it's important to offer several channels for them to do so - some people might express themselves better with a Pinterest board, others with a questionnaire, and others need an actual meeting. Providing all those avenues ensures you get the information you need to do your work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
