As further proof that Pantone rules the design world, let me present this color palette that Pantone foretold would be the trend this summer. They released this forecast early March of 2013. It’s amazing how accurate it is, isn’t it?
Just take a look at these recently-pinned photos from Joss and Main (still my favourite source of interior design inspiration) and you’ll see just how much these hues have been embraced by designers this year.
Gliding gracefully through watery channels, Fluidity is the palette that understands the inevitable human need for life-sustaining cool water tones, rendered largely in dazzling blues and blue-greens. These cooling hues are underscored by shimmering sea grass shades and undersea-creature colors, such as absinthe green, violet tulle, blazing Samoan sun, dewberry purple and two eye-arresting orange-coral tones.
Here’s a mood board I compiled based on this palette.

I would love to use any combination of these colors in a blog or logo design. They are vivid, but not overly saturated; happy, but not dizzyingly so.
How would you like to use this palette? Would you decorate with it?
