This was a new discovery. I never knew I could paint faces in watercolors until I had to create some concept art for a client. Flowers have always been my go-to subject every time I paint. It was such a pleasant surprise, and I never expected it would be this enjoyable and easy. Of course there is obviously a lot of room for improvement, so I’m scouring the web for tutorials. My dream is to be good enough to give lessons so I can help other watercolor enthusiasts to improve their skills.
Who else loves learning new skills? I’m not sure if I can even use this on my projects, but it’s really a lot of fun! Try Β it!
You’re so talented! Did you sketch first?
Hi Ceemee! I make a rough outline with a pencil first, but the details are all done in watercolor. Sometimes it’s hard to erase the pencil marks without destroying the painted areas.
Love! Paint me:-)
Oh, Mia! I’m not that confident yet about my skills. π Let me practice for a few more months, ok? π
Hi,Pat! I love your watercolor art! May I ask what brand of watercolor you use? And what kinds of brushes? I am also into watercolor art these days..your art is truly inspiring! Thank you!
Thanks Jess! I don’t have a particular brand preference for watercolours. Sometimes I even use my son’s watercolors from school. π For brushes, I like the Pentel brand, which I have in several sizes, but I use a Sakura #1 for the thinnest lines.
Wow! Just wow! They’re all oh so pretty! π
Thanks Peachy! π
