Avila Dawn Events is a wedding planning and design boutique based in South Carolina. They wanted to rebrand into a sweet, southern brand. One that feels inclusive to her clients and exudes authenticity when it comes to the love her couples share as well as the events she produces. This was a major makeover, and I am so happy with the outcome!
Ginny Krauss did a fantastic job with her brand strategy, as she always does!
MOODBOARD
First off, we started with her moodboard and color palette, which is just pretty! It’s mostly muted pastels, but with a pop of burgundy.

LOGO DESIGN
The logo was a bit tricky to design – the client wanted a simple, classic look, but also wanted an ornate feature. For the alternate option, I presented one with an illustration of a magnolia, which is largely associated with the south.

Ultimately, the client chose the one with the ornate monogram, because she wasn’t a fan of flowers.
BRAND GUIDE
Here is the complete brand guide and the full logo set:

I also designed custom patterns based on the filligree ornament of the logo, and added a satiny gold to the submark, as the client requested.
STATIONERY SUITE
The soft, pastel hues looked really pretty on the stationery suite! I love how versatile the custom ornament is – I used it as a border as well as a pattern on various elements of the stationery suite.

WEBSITE DESIGN
We achieved the most dramatic transformation on her website design. Just take a look at her old website, prior to working with us:

The flow of the homepage is designed so that people will be invited to continue scrolling, and yet also be able to navigate the website easily without having to think. The colors & fonts are all consistent with the brand, and I specifically chose the images that would work best with the color palette and overall look.

The website is naturally mobile-responsive, and built on the Genesis Framework. Do check it out!
Patricia
I just love your style and how you explained the brand process for this site. It’s so girly, yet feminine and classic. You were the kind of inspiration i was looking for a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing and enlightening through this process!
Thank you for the kind words!
