This was one of my favourite projects ever, and I can’t believe I haven’t featured it yet! Francesca approached me last year to design her logo and website. She was in the process of opening a beauty salon in London at that time, and mentioned that it was going to be in a very classic French theme. The interior design theme is ornate silver mirrors, silver and ornate glass jars and bottles, off-white paint and very very pale pink roses. Doesn’t it sound lovely?!
She initially wanted a pale pink and ivory palette, but then changed her mind midway and opted for a black and ivory/ black and white color scheme instead. She was going for a very elegant, exclusive, chic and luxurious look, reminiscent of Jo Malone and Chanel. Here is the mood board I curated out of her Pinterest board.
In the end we came up with two versions of the logo. One with an ivory background, and one with a white background. It was Francesca who specified the bow detail with thick ends, even making sure the proportions were just as she envisioned. The slight sheen to the letter B mimics the satiny finish of the bow.
