One of the most inspiring clients I’ve ever had is Lidwine Reustle, the founder of Connecting Diamonds. She approached me late last year to design her visual brand identity and website for her coaching business. Lidwine is based in Munich, Germany, speaks 6 languages fluently, has hosted countless events, and majored in Marketing, Accounting and Reporting, Finance and Empirical Economics. Yes, she has 4 majors. She also sings. I don’t think there’s anything this superwoman cannot do.
Naturally, Lidwine already had a very good idea about her brand. She wanted the visual brand identity design to reflect her strong, vibrant personality and to convey an inspiring message to her ideal clients. After going over her design brief and Pinterest board, I came up with this color inspiration board that perfectly captured the energy she wanted to convey.
Here is the entire logo set and brand board that I designed with her. (I say with, not for, because she was heavily involved in the entire process. It’s an arrangement that doesn’t always turn out nicely, but this time it did. I respected her choices and deferred to her knowledge of her brand and vision. She in turn, respected my experience and expertise as a designer.)
And here is how it all came together in her website.
Her homepage has several areas: a welcome area with links to her about page and work with me page, a section for daily inspirational quotes, an overview of her services, and her 3 latest blog posts.
What I love about Lidwine is that she really invested in fabulous professional photos for her website. We used these photos on all her pages, so there’s no repetition, and also on her pop-up form. Everything is branded consistently.
Her site is mobile responsive of course, and built on the Genesis Framework. It was really fun to work on this project because I got to play with vibrant colors for a change.
Do check out Connecting Diamonds! Her site is amazing. And not just because of the design. *wink*
For the lack of a better word, it looks gorgeous! (I say that with each syllable extended) I don’t usually dig bold and bright colored websites, (neons that burn the eyes!) but I love, love this.
I’ll take a peek at what it’s all about!
Thank you!
“Chunky-Chic” – simply gorgeous and so ‘delicious’ to my sight! I’m a fan of your creativity! 🙂 I also love diamonds so I better check her website. 😉
hahaha, thank you!
