I have been remiss. I just realized that I haven’t featured any of my Blogger theme projects yet, which is a shame, because there have been so many pretty ones and so many amazing clients. Stella, the lovely lady who owns the blog From Stilettos to Ballet Flats, is a lawyer who started her blog to chronicle her transition from a single career woman to a wife and mom. Her blog is very personal, and she wanted to keep it that way. I actually designed her blog a couple of years ago, but as she and her blog evolved, she also wanted a fresh new look.
Here are her inspirations:
She wanted a clean, timeless blog design with lots of hand-drawn elements. I loved her choice of colour palette! So light and feminine!
Here is the brand board that I came up with for her site.
Her menu tabs are hand-drawn images, and are linked to post categories. I added watercolour touches to her sidebar widget title backgrounds, and her date headers as well. Her preference for thin, handwritten fonts led me to use Strange Love Text, which is a really nice font for headers, and I paired it with Jacques and Gilles, another one of my favourite calligraphy fonts.
