It’s Friday! Yay!
I am super excited to share this brand and website design project with all you gorgeous people! It was such a dream project for me, and it was really amazing to be collaborating with Ginny Krauss of The Wedding Concierge and our lovely client, Jill Stonier, a top professional makeup artist in Florida with over 7 years of experience. I was in cloud nine when I received the design brief and saw the Pinterest board. This was a project I had been dreaming of all my life.
Just look at that color palette! All pale pink, blush, taupe and gold. It’s so dreamy! All the images came from Jill’s Pinterest board. She just opened a bridal studio, and the colors she chose for the interiors are the similar to the ones in the brand board.
We decided to redesign her logo to match this new brand direction. Jill actually studied graphic design, so she has a very good aesthetic. Her previous logo had a very modern feel, but we were going for something romantic this time. Here are the options that I presented:
Jill chose the first one, with some modifications. Here is the final logo that she approved:
I picked a calligraphic font that’s really romantic and elaborate, and paired with with an elegant serif for her tagline. The gold border gives it a nice glam touch.
Jill wanted her site to be more bridal and event-like. She loves a soft, feminine look that’s also sophisticated and elegant. Here is how it all came together on her home page.
The header features her logo framed by calligraphic scrollwork. She has a slider right below the menubar, with a welcome message right beside it. Below are links to her important pages.
Her site is mobile responsive, and all the elements adjust depending on the size of the screen. I built this on the Genesis Framework, of course.
It was quite amazing how seamlessly all three of us were working together when we all lived thousands of miles away – U.S., Germany, and Singapore! How’s that for international cooperation? hahaha! Do check out Jill’s site!
