Kayli is one of my favorite people on the planet. We’ve worked together a few times in the past, and they were such happy encounters that I was naturally excited to work with her again when she approached me for her new brand and website. This time, Kayli booked my business partner, Ginny Krauss, for her brand strategy, as she had big plans for her brand and wanted to make sure she had her vision down pat.
And that she did! Check out the results from their brand strategy sessions: Kayli Schattner is a powerhouse of inspiration for the modern day young woman seeking to own the world and live out their best life, all while #owningit along the way. From bad breaks ups, relitionship advice, sex, travel, and the uh-oh’s you make in college, nothing is off limits with Kayli. “I want to serve two missions: Helping spiritual/creative entrepreneurs create a brand voice that attracts + engages with their dream clients. I also want to help young women + be the big sister/best friend they need. Teaching them to #ownit + design a life that brings them joy—there’s hope (+ so much life!) after the break-up/the eating disorder/the failed class/etc.”
Kayli wanted a brand that was personal, fun, energetic, classy yet young, breathe life, bright while still being calm. And it had to appeal to a young age group: 18-27. Here is the moodboard that I curated to capture all that in visual form:
The colors are bright, light, and girly, without being too sweet or naive.
Kayli needed 2 logos – one for her main brand, and one for her podcast. I’m showing them here in use, with her fabulous brand photos by Luna Bear Studios.
I just have to say that I am so proud of this project! Her website has tons of custom features, some of them I wasn’t even sure if I could pull off. But we did!
Note Kayli’s reaction when she first saw the proposed design:
“OH MY GOSH. When I looked at this I teared-up, lol. It’s gorgeous + EXACTLY what I was wanting. You are a magic web design superstar + I’ve never been happier with a website in my life. Wow. Crying. Okay….
Thank you so much for all of your hard work — I finally feel like this is the year I’m coming into everything I’ve been working so hard for. You’re an amazing part of that + I feel so grateful to have you in my corner.”
Tears. I work so hard and pour my heart out on every project and it just feels really good to know it makes a difference.
I wish I could show you a screenshot of her entire homepage, but it’s just so long because of all the sections we need to include. So you’ll just have to check out the site yourself. The other pages weren’t left out either. They’re all fully-styled and totally bespoke. Only the best for Kayli!
Her website is built on WordPress, and running on the Genesis Framework, which is the basis for all my themes. It is optimized and mobile-responsive.
Here’s what Kayli had to say:
Working with Pat was nothing short of incredible. I’ve worked with her on multiple occasions and wouldn’t dream of going to anyone else for a flawless web design experience. Not only did she curate a site that grew-up with me, but she was able to take my jumbled ideas and execute them to a tee, adding in additional features I didn’t know to ask for. Truly a lovely experience!
