This is perhaps one of the loveliest blog designs a client has ever requested me to make. It was so refreshing to design something so unabashedly feminine! Like my other projects, I worked closely with the client throughout the whole process, making sure that her vision comes through in every aspect of her blog design. Carlana wanted the site to be warm, intimate, engaging, and heartfelt. I think her choice of hand-drawn images and watercolor touches really brought that vision to life.
Here is the brand mood board that I put together (making these brand mood boards is almost as exciting as seeing a theme live on a client’s site!). Don’t you just love the social media icons? 🙂
This is the screenshot of her site, ladyinbloom.com. It is, of course, on WordPress, and is built on the Genesis Framework like all my other themes. It is mobile responsive and is able to evolve over time.
I love it, Pat! And yes, especially the social media icons!! I really hope my fairy godfather (aka the husband) will gift me with a Fancy Girl-fied blog design. 🙂
Hi Pat. Thank you for the feature. It was a fun project and you captured it so well.
ANG GANDA!!! Okay Pat, peg natin ‘to when I have my blog redesigned (BY YOU!) a few years from now. Heehee. Super love the hand drawings!!!
That is super pretty! I also love the social media icons using books. I wish I had thought of that, hehe!
So glad you like it! 🙂 Yes, it’s such a lovely idea, isn’t it? It was the client’s request.
