Happy Hump Day everyone! Today, I am featuring a blog design project I finished some weeks ago. I wanted to highlight this not just for the stylish design, but also for the nifty header effects that the client requested. The overall look is minimalist, but she wanted a blend of rustic & serene, with pops of color.
The theme is mobile responsive and built on the Genesis Framework, like all of my custom WordPress themes. There is an abundance of white space. I really love clients who can appreciate white space! It’s so relaxing to the eyes.
This is the default look. The logo is centered, with a split menu bar on either side.
Watch what happens to the header when you scroll up. The logo and menubar go to a single line above the content and stays fixed at the top. The logo is transformed to a smaller version, and the split menubar is merged into one. This is a custom feature that I really loved about this project.
