I don’t often fall madly in love with a client’s Pinterest board. Don’t get me wrong, there have been a lot of really nice ones, and I love them, I love looking at them, but not all inspiration boards leave me holding my cheeks and catching my breath. Not like this one.
I already worked with Melissa before, when I designed her Melissa Hearts Weddings blog, but this time she wanted to start a new lifestyle blog on Blogger, and asked me to design it for her. Melissa wanted a look that was elegant, clean, and inviting. No loud colors, just lots of soft, delicate neutrals, and lots of white space. If you notice, I don’t often showcase my Blogger themes here, but this is really an exception because I LOVED how this project came out. It was also really lovely working with Melissa because she listens to my design advice! Dream client right there!
Here is the color inspiration board that I created from her pins.
Don’t you just love it?! The soft colors, the dreamy palette!
I used watercolor textures on her blog design, and paired it with a pretty calligraphy-style font for her header and signature to give her the overall look that she wanted.
And here is how it all came together, on her blog.
Melissa wrote the most wonderful post about her design process here. I really love it when she wrote, “I think when you’re happy with your “blog home”, it gives you the push to be a better blogger.” I hope all my clients feel that way.
Thank you so much Pat for all of your hard work and for creating such a beautiful blog for me. I can’t thank you enough! So grateful! xoxo
Oh, you’re totally welcome! And thank you for being such a dream client!
