Sunjewel Philippines is a company specializing in high-end fine jewelry for a younger, more modern market. They hired an advertising agency to create their brand identity and strategy, but came to me for their website design. They already had a pre-existing website before, but it wasn’t responsive, and it didn’t reflect their new direction.
Here is the mood board that I created based on the marketing/brand direction given by the client.
Yellow is a color I don’t often work with — but you can see how absolutely perfect it is for this brand! The high-end look is further conveyed with the use of silver, black, and white. Most jewelry websites have dark backgrounds (well, except Tiffany), but we wanted to veer away from that. The design of the homepage, in particular, had to be joyful, and remind viewers of celebrations and yes, good taste.
We picked out a damask pattern in very light grey, to give it a wedding feel, because soon-to-wed couples are still their main market. They had a good stock of professionally-taken photographs, so it was easy to create the mood that they wanted. I tell you, photographs can make or break your website! The top left area is a slider of photos with text overlays. The rest of the boxes are links.
Here is one of the inner pages.
The theme is, of course, mobile responsive and is built on the Genesis Framework like all my other themes. Do check out the website!
