Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.
Anne Frank
My thoughts these days inevitably turn to my dear friend who is battling stage 4 lung cancer. She is one of the most beautiful people I know, who genuinely cares about others more than herself, who reaches out to everyone she meets, generous with her time, always has a ready smile, and has an infectious bubbly personality.
I don’t know what God has planned for her, but I am praying really hard for a miracle. So many people are praying for her, all over the world — all the lives that she has touched. That’s how much she is loved by everyone who has ever met her. Today she has her second day of chemotherapy. Please send positive thoughts and prayers for her.
The watercolour illustration above was one of my experiments the other week. I’ve had no desire to paint or draw since hearing the devastating news about my friend. Anne Frank reminds us all to think of the beauty still left around us, no matter what’s happening, and be happy. It’s just difficult when your heart is breaking. I know that nothing is impossible with the Lord, and I’m holding on to that beautiful promise.
That’s a beautiful wish for our friend.
Touching. A beautiful piece of writing.
Thanks Linda! It’s not easy for me to express really strong emotions, but I just had to write this piece. I want her to know how much she is loved.
prayers and loving thoughts on the way.
Thanks Tita Wi!
