One of the prettiest & most versatile calligraphic fonts I’ve used is Isabella Script. It has a very feminine, romantic look, and its uneven baseline makes it look like modern calligraphy. There are over 400 glyphs, so you can substitute each letter with several alternates. So much fun to use!
I designed a few pinnable quotes for you using this pretty script font.
Here are a few logo designs I made that used Isabella Script.
Oh, if you love this font, it’s currently at 60% off right now! I think it’s a great buy, if you like the calligraphy look, but don’t have the patience to learn the skill. 🙂
Hay Pat, everytime I look at the beautiful things that you are posting, I am having the urge to re-design my blog! Hahaha! Buti nalang my ‘kuripot side’ would stop me kasi wala pang one year yung design ng blog ko! Hahaha! You are truly gifted Pat! In due time (and when my pocket is ready), I hope that you could re-design my blog… Hope to meet you in the near future!
Thanks for the kind words, Audrey! Let me know if you’re traveling to Singapore. Let’s meet up!
I like this pls Pat for our project together! 😀 plus my daughter’s second name is Ysabel 😀
Oh, perfect! I love the name Ysabel! It’s what I would have named my daughter if I had one. 🙂
It’s so pretty! Too girly for me, but perfect for that feminine touch. Ganda nga. I’ll reco this font to my girly girl friends. 😀 Matagal-tagal na akong hindi nagkaka-font crush. Makapagsearch nga. <3
I do calligraphy, but I don’t mind using fonts for personal projects and journals. Especially when I don’t have the time to take out my ink and nibs! Too bad I don’t need it right now! I will, however bookmark it!
Exactly! I love calligraphy, but there are times when I’m thankful for the effort saved by using fonts. 🙂
Ack! So pretty!!! I’m obsessed with modern calligraphy-type fonts! There are so many nice ones now, no? Super love!!! How I wish I could buy them all!
(Haha, too many exclamation points in this comment!!!)
Hi Patty! Yes, it’s super pretty, isn’t it? And yes, I do buy them all. hahahah!
OMG!! I’ve been crushing on this font for months now. Unfortunately I can’t justify the purchase because I’m not a graphics designer and I have no use for it. I do love hoarding fonts though. This one I’m particularly obsessed about. Thanks for sharing Pat! Will live vicariously through you. Hehehe.
I can never have enough fonts! I’m always buying new ones for my library. Don’t ask how many I already own. hahaha!
Lovely designs! <3 I wish I could write like this tho! :))
You and me both! 🙂
Oh my gosh, I love font itself and you made it even more beautiful with your graphics (as always!). I’ve been seeing this font around a lot and I just might buy it after seeing this 😉
You’re so kind! Yes, the font is lovely, isn’t it?
Patricia,
As the name of the font implies – feminine. I never had much thought on using fonts like this until I saw how you did it. Those are very creative and beautiful designs you did.
Thank you!
