If you’re looking for a handwritten font that doesn’t look like calligraphy, you will love Quickpen! There’s a nice roughness to the strokes that makes it look like actual handwriting. I love that it’s still easy to read, and has a nice slant to it. Or maybe I’m just biased because it looks a lot like my own handwriting, only a hundred times nicer!
Designed by Laura Condouris, the font lends itself to open-type aware applications with added ligatures and contextual alternates for lowercase letters, plus really lovely swashes!
I used Quickpen to create this poster. It’s one of my favourite quotes from Holly Becker of Decor8 Blog. I paired it with Love Potion No. 10, a charming serif with rough edges that pairs well with handwritten scripts.
