Happy New Year!!!
Can you believe how fast 2015 flew by? I didn’t even have time to process everything and now we’re actually on the first Monday of the new year! Craaaaazy!
I took some much-needed time off during the holidays to spend time with my family. We were unable to travel this year because of my health issues, so my family flew over instead. It was chaos! But wonderful chaos! The holidays are the only time my boys get to see their cousins – none of them wanted to sleep at night because they wanted to spend every moment together.
I’m still a bit hung over from all that fun, and frankly, it would be nice to take another week off, but my inbox couldn’t be ignored anymore. I’m still halfway through as I write this. Wish me luck!
I’m not a fan of resolutions. Mostly because I was never very good at sticking to them. (hahahaha) But I do love having a WORD to focus on for the year and making it your mantra. Last year, my word was SIMPLIFY. This year, it’s FEARLESS, and I did the illustration above to represent it.
I’ve been very shy about sharing my art and marketing my services. This is the year that I will deal with all those fears that are holding me back.
What’s your word for 2016?
I don’t create resolutions too, but I do focus on one word as well. My word this year is ENOUGH. 🙂
Wow, that’s something I need to focus on too. You’re making me want to change my word for the year. hahaha!
You never fail to make beautiful designs!
You’re so sweet, Audrey! Thank you!
I think my word for this year would be EXPERIENCES.Less things ,more experiences.
I love that!
Happy New Year, Pat! Your illustrations are beautiful as usual! I don’t have a word yet, I’m still turning the ‘instrospection’ in my thoughts, or must I go for ‘theospection’? 🙂
Happy New Year Ceemee! Thank you for the kind words!
I’m all for introspection. I think it’s absolutely essential and makes you appreciate your life more. Right? 🙂
That’s true, Pat! I want to get to know myself again. 🙂
I’m so in love with your art Pat! I’m coveting these girls outfits. Hehehe.! I’m a wordy, wordy person so I can’t think of just one word. But I want to stick to my blog mantra this 2016: Live, Love, Laugh, Move & Motivate. Cheers to your fearless 2016!:)

Thanks Pia!
Hahahah! I know how what you mean! It wasn’t easy to choose just one word, you know. But because everything else I listed down felt so easy, I forced myself to choose the one word that gave me the heeby jeebies!
Hi, Ms Patricia! I’m a follower on Instagram! I’m in awe of your creations.
I have not contemplated yet what is my word for the year, but I’ll figure it out soon!
Happy 2016!
Thank you for the kind words!
It’s not easy to pick just one word. I had several candidates but I eventually chose Fearless because it was the one I was least comfortable with.
First, those illustrations are FIERCE. I totally feel your fearless vibe.
Second, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 🙂
Third, hmmm…. good question. After some reflection, I realize that my 2016 word is LOVE. 🙂 Thanks for that moment of reflection. I’ll write about my 2016 word sometime.
Here’s to fearlessness and love! Cheers!
