PROJECT: FULL BRANDING SUITE + PROFESSIONAL WEB DESIGN

JunePlumm Events is a Brooklyn, New York-based Wedding and Event Planning Company with over 12 years of experience designing one-of-a-kind events. Camille Plummer, the founder of JunePlumm Events, approached me to redesign her brand from the ground up. We worked closely together to create the glamorous, bold, luxurious look that she wanted for her brand and website.

MOODBOARD

The moodboard is bold and sophisticated, with black, gold, and a vibrant accent of deep fuchsia.

LOGO DESIGN

Camille has a very fine eye for design, and knew exactly what she wanted. I designed this monogram that she planned to emblazon on her crew’s t-shirts. We had to make sure it looked good in all sizes! A sophisticated serif is balanced by a glamorous and equally high-contrast script.

THE BRAND GUIDE

The various logo versions all have the same overall look, and use the same design elements. I created a custom gold gradient for her, as well as custom patterns that we used in the stationery suite and website for a cohesive look.

WEBSITE DESIGN

I loved putting together all the elements for her website design. Camille had really gorgeous client and editorial photos, so we didn’t have a hard time communicating her brand message at all. I love how consistent her style is, and it shows. Her work is amazing! Truly glamorous and luxurious, and very New York City chic!

mobile responsive website design on Worpdress

The website is mobile responsive and I made sure it looks great on all devices. Built on the Genesis Framework, which extends the powers of WordPress, and combined with Beaver Builder for flexibility. Those are my 3 favourite tools for building amazing websites.

Do check out her website here!

The custom monogram forms the letters H and A, but if you look at it long enough, you'll notice the curves of the letter A forms a letter L - which stands for Lisa, the founder's name.
We wanted the brand to look and feel premium but welcoming, as befits her years of experience and level of expertise.

The Ashcombe Hall has the gravity of a country house library, the kind of face you'd expect stamped in gold on a leather spine. Vintage Serenade moves looser, more lyrical, closer to something a calligrapher would have signed.
Design has swung this way before. When the Industrial Revolution made everything fast and identical, William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement answered with ornament, with craft, with the visible mark of the maker. The clean grid had its long turn at the wheel. This particular kind of type, textured, hand-cut, carrying a sense of history in the strokes, is having its own.
The antiques returning to people's living rooms and this type returning to branding are doing the same work. Both are reminding us a skilled hand was involved.
