I’ve wanted to share about this project for the longest time, as it was my most exhaustive project to date. It’s always a challenge whenever a client says, “I want something over the top.” My instinct is always to edit and pare down, but I do get a lot of these requests from clients who want an exuberant design. It’s fun though! 🙂
Dayo Onas specializes in floral design and event planning, so she wanted a logo and website that spoke of that. She’s not a minimalist in any way, and she wanted her logo and website to reflect her attention to detail, and her flair for spectacular floral arrangements. She picked out a color palette of 2 vivid colors: hot pink and turquoise.
I was happy with how her website came out. Despite the vivid hues of her logo, we managed to soften the overall look by using a light damask pattern for the background, and lots of white space. Her homepage has a slider, a welcome message, and buttons that link to featured pages.
Here’s the full view of the homepage:
And her inner pages below, all of which I styled and fancified to her specifications.
What do you think? Would you dare to have such an elaborately-styled website too? 🙂
