Confession: I watch the Oscars mainly for the fashion (ok, and maybe also for the jokes). It’s the one event where I can see all my favorite celebrities in their glittery best. This year, they didn’t disappoint! I’ve been spending all my free time sketching and painting my top picks.
The only one whose fabulous outfit I really couldn’t begin to illustrate was Cate Blanchett’s. I mean really, she’s flawless, and that gown was absolutely perfect for her! But all those feathers and beading, oh my! I’d probably need a week to finish the sketch and another week to paint it!
