Cynthia Bolton-Smith is an award-winning interior designer in Chicago with decades of experience serving high profile clients. Her old brand and website were dated, and didn't reflect her elevated standing as a luxury interior designer.
We worked closely together, crafting not just the logo and website, but also her brand photography in order to communicate a consistent, cohesive message. Cynthia is known for weaving modern and traditional elements in her design, and we sought to portray that in the website and her overall visual brand identity.
MOODBOARD & COLOUR PALETTE
Through my signature brand discovery process, we determined that Cynthia's keywords are opulent, edgy, dramatic, established, modern, elegant, expensive. Her brand is self-assured and uncompromising in standards. It is the epitome of 'go big or go home'. Her moodboard and color palette reflect that perfectly.

The key feature in the design is the interlocking C's that form a letter S.

WEBSITE DESIGN
The goal for Cynthia's website was to showcase her amazing work prominently, curate the images to show only the ones she wants to be known for (and there are a lot), and provide a seamless experience for site visitors. We used her color palette and sophisticated typography without sacrificing readability.
As a designer, Cynthia is known for luxury finishes - and we used those in the website as well, selecting images from her galleries to use as backgrounds for sections on the pages. The result is a rich, layered vibe, much like the homes that Cynthia has won awards for.
