Emmy Couture Designs is an award-winning full-service interior design firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona. They specialize in custom homes and whole-home renovations that blend fashion-forward style with unique creativity and liveable luxuries.
Emily, the founder and principal designer, came to me to redesign their brand identity and their website in order to effectively communicate what they do to their ideal clients. Their old website was 'ok', but not up to the standard of their work. We collaborated closely for several weeks in order to refine and design the brand identity, marketing materials, and website to they can confidently show the world what they do and what they want to be known for.
MOODBOARD & COLOUR PALETTE
Chatting with Emily about her inspirations is always fun. Her dream brand ambassador is Rachel Zoe, and our architectural inspiration is the Musee Rodin. Those two things were enough to give me a clear idea of where we were headed.
The colors are muted, elegant, timeless, graceful, and sophisticated. The visual style is refined, modern, classic, and sophisticated.
LOGO DESIGN
Emily has a really good eye, and I knew this project was going to be a true collaborative effort. She insisted on a wreath to be part of the logo, as it was the one thing she liked about her old one. I redesigned and refined it, designing one that mimicked the lines of the letterforms in the wordmark.
The brand marks can be used together or separately, with some variations in size and layout. This gives her several options depending on the usage. We have applied the branding to business cards, yard signs, and social media posts.
WEB DESIGN
The website is a beautiful result of many factors coming together: the copywriting, their stunning body of work, and a carefully thought out layout and design that effectively showcases both.
The brand colors work really well at keeping the look elegant & sophisticated, but still warm and welcoming. I used their gorgeous images all over the pages to show site visitors just how talented this team is. Call to action buttons are all carefully placed to lead site visitors throughout the website.
