Jennifer Jane Photography offers fine art wedding photography in the U.K., and is known for her artful storytelling and elegant style. Located in Devon, but also serving Bath and the Cotswolds, Jennifer has an upscale clientele and wanted a brand and website that would appeal to her ideal clients.
Her style is so soft and romantic, but also very light and airy, with pastel tones and a love of nature that shows in all her photos. Her old website and logo were pretty, but not quite as upscale or elegant as she would like them to be. Our task was to elevate everything to appeal to the luxury market.
MOODBOARD & COLOUR PALETTE

LOGO DESIGN

The logo design is nspired by vintage French illustrations (she has a French heritage), and paired with editorial style typography to make it more current, but still very classic. We couldn't find the perfect font for this project, so I basically created custom letterforms for her name to get it exactly right.
The custom illustration has all of her favourite flowers - peonies and sweet peas, with some anemones as well. It had to look wild and romantic! I added lots of wildflowers and trailing vines to achieve the effect.

WEBSITE DESIGN
We wanted a truly luxurious look and feel for the website, with a timeless colour palette paired with classic typography, all to support and showcase the most romantic and painterly photographs that will have you swooning with delight! The main challenge we had with the website was restructuring it to make it easier to navigate and to improve the user experience overall. Jen wrote the copy herself, and had the gargantuan task of redoing the copy for all of her pages. The great thing is that her images are all jaw dropping-ly gorgeous, so at least we had that covered! The other challenge was to curate her images and show only the work she wants to be known for. This was tough - all her galleries were amazing. I admire her for her willingness to cull dozens of albums just because they didn't align with her new direction anymore. The result is a stunning website and I will be happy to show off for years. I hope she will too.
