REVEALING REDESIGN

PROJECT TYPE:
  • BASIC LOGO DESIGN
  • CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGN

Erin Cochran, Revealing Redesign's founder and self-described "house whisperer," built her business on a simple belief: your home should feel like you. The idea took root when she remodeled her own farmhouse, an experience so formative that she asked me to work its silhouette into her new logo.

Together, we developed a hygge-inspired brand identity and bespoke website for her Chester County and Delaware County practice, one built around comfort, history, and how a family actually lives in a space. The work meant distilling Erin's philosophy and point of view into something cohesive: warm, grounded, and entirely her own.

LOGO DESIGN

Revealing Redesign Mockup

A brand identity rooted in meaning.

At its center: a custom illustration of her farmhouse, where the story began, paired with a flying swallow, a symbol that carries deep personal significance for Erin.

She wanted approachable, not opulent. Not quiet luxury, but something thoughtful, warm, and grounded. Muted greens, teals, and earthy browns bring that feeling to life on a visceral level, while the typography lends the whole identity its refinement.

A bold, dramatic, editorial-inspired brand identit A bold, dramatic, editorial-inspired brand identity for a psychology-informed company that is centered on people.
The custom monogram forms the letters H and A, but if you look at it long enough, you'll notice the curves of the letter A forms a letter L - which stands for Lisa, the founder's name.
We wanted the brand to look and feel premium but welcoming, as befits her years of experience and level of expertise.
The typefaces surfacing this week share a theme: n The typefaces surfacing this week share a theme: not serifs broadly, but a specific vintage register, letterforms with visible weight variation, a slightly worn edge, the sense that someone drew them by hand.
The Ashcombe Hall has the gravity of a country house library, the kind of face you'd expect stamped in gold on a leather spine. Vintage Serenade moves looser, more lyrical, closer to something a calligrapher would have signed.
Design has swung this way before. When the Industrial Revolution made everything fast and identical, William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement answered with ornament, with craft, with the visible mark of the maker. The clean grid had its long turn at the wheel. This particular kind of type, textured, hand-cut, carrying a sense of history in the strokes, is having its own.
The antiques returning to people's living rooms and this type returning to branding are doing the same work. Both are reminding us a skilled hand was involved.
The Victorians read morning glory as fleeting love The Victorians read morning glory as fleeting love. I read it as a flower that simply knows when to leave the party.
