SUSAN EL-NAGGAR INTERIOR DESIGN

PROJECT TYPE:
  • BASIC LOGO DESIGN
  • STATIONERY SUITE DESIGN
  • BESPOKE WEBSITE DESIGN

Susan El-Naggar Interior Design offers Award-Winning Full-Service Interior Design for High-Achieving Professionals in Chicago and beyond. We collaborated closely to completely revamp her visual brand identity and website.

Susan knew she needed a major rebrand in order to pivot to a more upscale market and offer white glove service. One of the major reasons why people rebrand is because their services have changed so drastically, or they are trying to reach a different target clientele, both of which apply in this case.

With a refined and sophisticated color palette, typography, glamorous brand photos, and a sleek new website, she has completely transformed her brand identity and message.

MOODBOARD & COLOUR PALETTE

moodboard and color palette for Susan El-Naggar Interior Design

The inspiration is very glamorous, sophisticated, luxurious. But because Susan's speciality is creating tranquil spaces, we didn't want it to be stark and very high contrast. Instead of pure white, we used a softer, more soothing pale cream and a very light beige.

WEBSITE DESIGN

SE Website Launch 1 (opens in new tab)

The bespoke website design is sleek and sophisticated, with intentional layout features that serve to guide the viewer seamlessly and showcase Susan's interior design projects. The challenge was to use a very limited set of project photos for the whole website, because only some of her projects fit into the new niche that she wants to be known for. Careful curation as well as clear messaging helps to communicate the new direction effectively.

For her brand photos, we planned her outfits to coordinate with her new brand identity, so that all her visuals are polished, sophisticated, and shows an established interior designer who understands luxury design.

Here's What Susan Had to Say

"I loved working with you, Pat! You were always happy, positive, and informative at the same time.

I felt like you explained each step well and had excellent communication skills. It was such a pleasure working with you. You did such a great job with the logos, branding colors, typography and website to give me the look and feel that I desired for my clientele.

The website is gorgeous and even better than I thought. Your attitude was superb which made everything go smoothly! I believe that my website is an excellent representation of the interior design work that we do. I love how Pat pulled all the pieces together to create a beautiful website!"

The custom monogram forms the letters H and A, but if you look at it long enough, you'll notice the curves of the letter A forms a letter L - which stands for Lisa, the founder's name.
We wanted the brand to look and feel premium but welcoming, as befits her years of experience and level of expertise.
The typefaces surfacing this week share a theme: n The typefaces surfacing this week share a theme: not serifs broadly, but a specific vintage register, letterforms with visible weight variation, a slightly worn edge, the sense that someone drew them by hand.
The Ashcombe Hall has the gravity of a country house library, the kind of face you'd expect stamped in gold on a leather spine. Vintage Serenade moves looser, more lyrical, closer to something a calligrapher would have signed.
Design has swung this way before. When the Industrial Revolution made everything fast and identical, William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement answered with ornament, with craft, with the visible mark of the maker. The clean grid had its long turn at the wheel. This particular kind of type, textured, hand-cut, carrying a sense of history in the strokes, is having its own.
The antiques returning to people's living rooms and this type returning to branding are doing the same work. Both are reminding us a skilled hand was involved.
