It's amazing how easy it is to find inspiration, if you only know where to look. The most recent collection from @hautestockco gave me just what I needed for this project.

It just makes me a little sad that my injury means I can't travel any time soon. Well, Europe will still be there next year!

Here's a discarded design that I wanted to share before I bin it.

The leaves are inspired by the F-holes on a violin, which the client plays. The flower is a geometric, slightly art deco-ish interpretation of a zinnia about to bloom. It was a deliberate attempt to combine modern and classical elements into one symbol.

I still think it would have worked 😉

At the @vermillion.lifestyle popup with acclaimed ceramic artist @leowongceramics 😍 finally met him in person!

There were also other interesting brands featured. I was particularly impressed with the embroidered table linens by Studio NooSh and the washi paper plates by a Japanese maker.
