Who says you can’t buy happiness?
You should have seen the joy in my boys’ faces when they saw the rainbow cake I ordered recently! It was right after the last week of exams and I thought it would be great to celebrate it with cake. Come to think of it, any reason to get cake is a good reason!
We’re still not going out much, so I always look for online ordering options for most things. I found out about Cake Delivery Singapore and their customisable delivery options, which is really clever. Most cake ordering sites insist on a minimum of 3-days notice for cake orders. With Cake Delivery, you can even opt for a 1-hour express delivery service – perfect for last minute celebrations, or when you need something to bring to a dinner party!
The rainbow cake arrived chilled, (you need to wait about an hour before eating it) in a large enough box wrapped in ribbon. They provide free candles and a cake topper, but we didn’t need those. (I doubt if anyone has created a topper that says ‘hooray, exams are over!’)
Externally, the icing was very simple (would have preferred it slightly thicker, and with more piping or something). It was a bit underwhelming. But the size was good at about 9.5 inches in diameter and over a kg in weight. We couldn’t wait to slice it to see inside!
It did not disappoint. Layers were not very thick, but it was fluffy, like biting into a sweet rainbow-coloured cloud. The buttercream icing was just right, not too sweet. I would have preferred a slightly more generous icing cover. haha! But that’s just me. For the price point though, this is a good buy.
We will definitely order this again. Thanks for great service, Cake Delivery Singapore!
Oh, and they do 12 midnight deliveries too, for when you want to surprise someone on their birthday!
