Client Responsibilities

Clients are required to complete the Design Questionnaire in full prior to the start of any project. This information is essential in establishing the creative direction and scope of work. Delays or incomplete responses may impact the project timeline.

Clients are responsible for providing all final content to be included in the project, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, and other materials. All provided content must be owned by the client or properly licensed for use. Fancy Girl Design Studio is not responsible for any copyright or intellectual property violations arising from client-provided materials.

If content creation, copywriting, photography, or graphic assets are requested to be created by the designer, additional fees will apply and will be agreed upon in writing.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a project start date and indicates agreement to these Terms & Conditions. The remaining balance is due prior to final delivery, installation, or release of files, unless otherwise stated in writing. Additional requests outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and may affect delivery timelines.

Clients agree to provide timely, clear, and consolidated feedback throughout the project.

Design Process & Revisions

Design work will begin once all required materials, content, and payments have been received.

Clients will be presented with design concepts based on the agreed scope. One selected direction may be revised up to the number of revisions outlined in the project proposal. Additional revisions or requests outside the approved scope will be billed at an hourly rate.

Once written or verbal approval is given, the design is considered final. Any changes requested after approval, launch, or delivery will be subject to additional fees.

For website projects, clients are responsible for reviewing the site during the review period and requesting any revisions within that timeframe. Requests submitted after the review period may incur additional charges.

Hosting & Technical Requirements

Clients are responsible for securing their own hosting, domain, and platform access unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The designer is not responsible for hosting setup, server issues, or third-party platform limitations.

Font Licensing

Font licenses are not included unless explicitly stated in writing.

Any fonts used in branding, logo design, or website projects may be subject to third-party licensing requirements. While fonts may be used during the design or development process, this does not transfer ownership or usage rights.

Clients are solely responsible for reviewing, purchasing, and maintaining appropriate font licenses directly from the font foundry for their intended use, including logo, print, web, commercial, and future applications. This responsibility applies regardless of how the font files were obtained or provided.

If a brand or website is updated, redesigned, migrated, or expanded after project completion, additional or updated font licenses may be required. Fancy Girl Design Studio is not responsible for any licensing violations, enforcement actions, fees, penalties, or back payments imposed by third-party font providers.

Post-Completion & After-Sales Policy

Once a project is complete, Fancy Girl Design Studio is not responsible for any changes, damages, or issues caused by third parties or client modifications. Any requested fixes or updates will be billed at the prevailing hourly rate.

Source files are not included unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. The designer is not obligated to retain project files indefinitely. Requests for source files or archived materials may incur additional fees.

Refunds & Termination

Due to the custom nature of design work, all payments are non-refundable.

If a project is canceled by the client, payment is still required for all work completed up to that point. In cases of unprofessional, abusive, or uncooperative behavior, the designer reserves the right to terminate the project without refund.

Communication

All communication will take place via email or scheduled Zoom meetings. Response times are typically within one business day, excluding weekends and holidays.

If no communication is received from the client for a period of thirty (30) days, the project may be considered abandoned and forfeited without refund. Restarting the project may require a new contract, pricing, and deposit.

Credits & Portfolio Use

The designer retains the right to display completed work in portfolios, on websites, and in promotional materials for professional and marketing purposes.

Website credit links, if included, must remain in place unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
